Born and Bred on the Isle of Wight I can claim true ‘caulkhead’ status! I left the Island in 1982 to go to University where I obtained a degree in Sports Studies followed by a PGCE in Physical Education.
I have been teaching ever since although in recent years this has been on a part time basis as I have pursued my passion for furniture making and have been undertaking commissions for private clients since 2003.
It was during my time at university at the age of 20 that I became a Christian. Knowing Jesus Christ personally as Lord and Saviour rather than just knowing about Jesus and accepting the things that I had been taught growing up was the difference that came with accepting that Jesus died for my sin and rose again from the dead. I had always known that I needed to ask forgiveness for my sin but I had kept God at arm’s length for too long!
I married Jo in 1993 and we have two boys: Harry and Adam
I enjoy music, particularly guitar and play regularly in church and with a local rock band.
