Linda Morrow (Deacon)
I began attending Kennet Valley in 1993, having grown up in another local church in Reading. Sunday school and Girls Brigade leaders taught me about God's love for me and I gave my life to Jesus at the age of 10. I felt a strong call by the Lord into nursing. Whilst working at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading I met my future husband, Derek, as he suffered from Hodgkin's disease, with a very poor prognosis. We married in 1977, not knowing how long we'd have together but through prayer and God's grace he went on to live for a further 37 years, going to be with God in November 2013.
Since then life has not been easy, but God has graciously and wonderfully met my needs and enabled me to cope. This church family laugh and cry with me; support and encourage me and more importantly pray for me.
I retired from nursing in 2015 and I became a member of the Leadership Team in 2016. For many years I have helped with the Friday night youth groups (NRG and Revolution) and the Sunday morning 11-14 age group (Bubble). I also help with Coffee Club on a Tuesday morning.
